Union Engagement
Part of LTS's success can be attributed to involving Unions. LTS offers a Lean Six Sigma awareness training session for Union that includes a 1/2 day power point free interactive training session followed by an afternoon of education and dialogue around what Lean Six Sigma is and is not and how it will impact in-scope employees.
The Union members participating will leave with an understanding of:
- Why the organization is using this methodology
- How it benefits the customer / patient
- How the staff will benefit
- What their role is in the deployment
It has been our experience that by communicating up front with the Union Leads prior to the implementation of a Lean Six Sigma program the they start to become a strong supporter of the process and encourage staff to participate.
