Community Involvement

Commitment to the community is important to LTS.

LTS has partnered with the United Way Regina through their training program. The LTS blended learning model includes mentored project work. If students do not have a project to be mentored through LTS provides an improvement project opportunity through United Way Regina. By helping United Way Regina create systems and processes that utilize their staff time efficiently and effectively the organization can focus on raising funds to help support vulnerable young children, help high school students stay in school, or empower the families in our inner city neighbourhoods to take back their communities block by block, United Way’s impact is local, tangible and meaningful.

Since 2009, the LTS Principals have volunteered in the Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital Foundation annual Radiothon. LTS Vice-President Bonita Matushewski was particularly involved in 2010 and instrumental in organizing the Rick Hanson Breakfast Fundraiser Event. LTS is also currently working with the Children’s Hospital Foundation to help them create the systems and processes needed to meet the demand of Saskatchewan. LTS donates their time to training and facilitating improvement projects that help the Foundation improve their processes so their efforts can focus on achieving their goals.

LTS currently sits on the volunteer committee for Kidsport Regina. LTS provides consultation on maximizing their fundraising efforts through the use of data analysis as well as participate in running the Corporate Challenge.

Bonita Matushewski sits on the Canadian Progress Club Regina-Wascana committee and each year, LTS principals attend the Regina Festival of Trees with proceeds directed to Regina Pallative Care Inc. and the Greystone Bereavement Centre.
